Hatred schemes deceptions lack of morals
lack of concern for others, selfishness, love for money and not people, lying, the whatever mentality, what’s it to you attitude?
This is a heart issue and the problem is mine, because I too live in the world alongside all the above. It seems some give, and others just take, some care and others turn a blind eye, some stand up and do their part and others feel entitled! How on any scale is this fair or right? Growing up it was instilled in me to respect your elders and show gratitude and give thanks for your blessings.
Today I’m finding it more difficult to stop and help for two reasons. The first being drained dry helping those who won’t help themselves and the second being fear. Fear of being robbed, fear of being lied to about the persons circumstance, fear of a drug overdose, fear of enabling, fear of my car being stolen and needing to cover the damage if the car is ever recovered, fear, in a word .. fear!
So the question is this, how can I be me and help? How do I not fear helping those in need? How can I rest easy knowing others will do the same?
I WANT TO BE ME!
