Random act of kindness

Daily writing prompt
Write about a random act of kindness you’ve done for someone.

Some time back in my earlier years, I needed a car so like a smart person I went in the late hours of the night and purchased a vehicle. I was so excited to finally have a car I hadn’t paid much attention to the car itself other than the stereo worked, and it started so down the road I went. About 2 blocks away, I smelled antifreeze an it began to overheat. there went the joy out the door. Not much to say or do but wallow in my disappointed so I went to bed. The next day having no clue what I was doing I found out the head gaskets and freeze out plugs were the issue, so I broke out the masking tape a pen an bought a Chilton’s book an under a tarp for many many days, I worked to repair this car. I needed to be sure there were no more issues so off to the Kentucky border I went in yet again the middle of the night and lo and behold I was there and back the next day it was fixed, no more gushing fluids out from under the hood. A few days had passed with me and my car at home not really going anywhere noticed the lady across the street had asked for a ride from my mom and that was all she wrote. She had an infant and no car, so I gave her mine and with all that said I can still say the greatest act of kindness I have ever shown is sharing the good news about Jesus and what he has to offer because nothing I can ever do will ever measure up and that’s the truth.
