How do I start reading the Bible?

The first thing to do is PRAY and ask God to reveal what He has to show you. Then as your reading ask yourself, is there any sins here I should avoid? Is there any promises or blessings in these passages? I have found it’s helpful to underline, highlight or take notes of the things that stand out to me.

If unsure of where to begin reading, my suggestion would be the book of John. John 20:21 says, ” But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”

We make time for what we consider priorities, where does God rank? A committed Christian talks to God, so they can grow and mature.

Mathew 6:33 states: seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
